How to get to Mangífera Hostel by public transport?

By bus from San José:

Search for 'Terminal Grecia Calle 18A' on Google Maps. From that bus station, you can take a direct bus to Grecia.

To get to this bus station in San José, the best option is to take an Uber.

From the airport in Alajuela:

  • The fastest option to get to the hostel is to take an Uber (takes about 30 minutes).

  • The cheapest way is to hop on a bus (takes about 1 hour). You'll have to change buses 1 time. First, you'll have to take the bus that goes from the airport to Alajuela. Search for 'SJO Airport Bus Stop' on Google Maps to find the bus station at the airport. Get on the bus and get off at the last stop in Alajuela. On Google Maps, this station is called 'Terminal TUASA San Jose'. Once there, search for the 'Estación de Autobús a Grecia, Sarchí, Naranjo' on Google Maps. That's where you have to take the bus to Grecia. You can always ask bus drivers or local people to help you to find your way to the right bus.

From San Ramón / La Fortuna / Arenal:

Ask locals / taxi drivers / bus drivers where you can find the bus to Narjano. Once in Naranjo, change buses to Grecia.

From Monteverde / Puntarenas etc.

Many buses that drive from the West side of Costa Rica towards San José will drive by Grecia on the highway. Ask the bus driver to let you get off the bus at 'La entrada de Grecia'. You'll get off the bus over here. There, you can wait for the bus to Grecia or you can order an Uber to arrive at the hostel.

From Grecia, you can get to any part of the country with ease.
